FRIENDSHIP AND SOLIDARITY WITH THE KOREAN PEOPLE
FRIENDSHIP AND SOLIDARITY WITH THE KOREAN PEOPLE
Let me firstly express my support for the Arabian Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, who are hosting this on-line forum. We of the International League of Peoples Struggle (ILPS), appreciate the invitation to be involved, and we are pleased with this opportunity to once again express our Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People.
We are sorry that we cannot be at your on-line forum, but unfortunately it takes place at the same time as our 7th International Global Conference, which occurs every 4 to 5 years, and which is our supreme decision- making forum for our hundreds of mass peoples organisations which make up our global membership.
Can I say at the outset, that the ILPS, which began in 2001, has always supported the just struggles of the Korean People, led by the Government of the DPRK, for peace and justice on the Korean Peninsula, and for the freedom of the Korean People from imperialist aggression and oppression.
We recognise that at this time the U.S. imperialists and their lackeys, are even stepping up their threatening behaviour against the DPRK and other countries, part of which is through the establishment of threatening military blocks like the “QUAD”, and “AUKUS”, and which involves countries like the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan, and other countries dominated by U.S. imperialism.
The U.S. Imperialist block is deploying and supporting the deployment of nuclear strategic assets onto the Korean Peninsula, including Nuclear Submarines, and staging war drills one after another aimed at destroying peace and security in the region and aimed directly at rehearsing an invasion against the DPRK.
U.S. imperialism started the Korean war in 1950, and was defeated to a standstill by the North Korean People, with the support of the Chinese people’s volunteers. It is now seeking to provoke yet another Korean war.
The peace- loving people of the world must mobilise in their millions to safeguard peace and security on the Korean Peninsula.
Of course, the drive to war by U.S. imperialism and its other warmongering allies, is taking place in other parts of the globe as well. In the Middle East, in Latin America, in Asia Pacific, in Europe and other places apart from the Korean Peninsula.
Currently the world is experiencing imperialist driven wars and aggression in Myanmar, West Papua, India, Iran, Philippines, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Ukraine, Yemen, and the Congo to mention just some.
The people of the world need to unite in always bigger numbers and with growing militancy, against the Imperialist war mongers, in order to prevent global wars and the growing potential of a third world war.
We support and admire the role of the North Korean People and their Leaders who have been resisting U.S. Imperialism and its war mongering over decades. We have no doubt that you will continue to do so.
In the context of considering the resistance to the war mongering of U.S Imperialism, we must pay homage to the magnificent struggles of the Palestinian People in fighting Imperialist backed Zionism and it’s continuing disgraceful apartheid and genocidal actions.
In the final analysis it is only the people of the world, those who are passionate about a peaceful world, a just world, that can ensure the defeat of Imperialism.
The North Korean People and their leaders have demonstrated this since their liberation in 1948 and before.
We of the ILPS wish to again express our solidarity with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and their on-going efforts to resist imperialism and defend their right to their own freedom, independence and progress, in building their own country, without aggression and interference from others.
For a peaceful just world we must ensure that imperialism is consigned to the dust-bin of history.
We congratulate the Arab Regional Committee for friendship and solidarity with the Korean People, for organising this international on-line forum to expose and denounce the aggressive moves of the U.S. to provoke another Korean war and its anti-DPRK hostile policy, on this occasion of June 25, when the U.S. started the Korean War. (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953.)
We are sure that as a result of this forum, we will all become even more active in the struggle for peace and justice in the region and the world.
We of the ILPS wish your forum, and beyond, every success.
Long live freedom and independence
Long live Peace with justice
Long live the struggle against imperialism
