WRITTEN CONTRIBUTION TO THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM IN SUPPORT OF THE JUST STRUGGLE OF THE KOREAN PEOPLE FOR SAFEGUARDING OF SOVEREIGNTY AND PEACE
On the 25th of June 1950, the great Fatherland Liberation War began. This happened after years of imperialist aggression on the Korean Peninsula, with the goal of crushing the newly formed Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The American imperialists, who in 1945 had carved up and occupied the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, had it as an important goal to crush the popular revolutionary movement led by President Kim Il Sung.
In the western world, we are propagated to believe the DPRK invaded southern Korea without provocation. However, if we look at the facts, it was the continuous US-led border provocations and disrespect of the sovereignty of the DPRK, which led to the outbreak of grand-scale war on the Korean peninsula. Hawkish imperialists as Douglas MacArthur and William Lynn Roberts, planned to crush the DPRK from the beginning, but they didn’t succeed.
Even though many decades have passed, the imperialists simply aren’t strong enough to destroy the mighty achievements of the Korean revolution. They’ve tried anything but haven’t had any luck. Even in the most arduous of times, when the imperialists had crushed the socialist camp from within, they weren’t a match for the bulwark of socialism in the DPRK.
Today, 71 years since the glorious victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, the US is still desperately trying to crush socialism in Korea. In the south, they maintain a billion-dollar occupation which are working harshly against any form of popular movements. Conservative puppets are put in the government of the Republic of Korea to oppress the labour unions and allow the imperialists to hold massive wargames on the peninsula. More than 70 military bases, and 25.000 troops are needed to maintain the cowardly occupation of southern Korea.
It is clear to the progressive people of the world, that the imperialist countries are hypocrites, cowards and liars. They claim that the DPRK poses a threat to world peace, when they themselves are sending bombs, jet fighters and warships to massacre Palestinians in the largest genocide in modern history. The DPRK has every right to bolster its defense against the murderous imperialists, and counter them at any means.
We can see the mighty strength of socialism in the DPRK, when we look at its military and scientific achievements. A small country which is plagued by filthy sanctions, still manages to develop cutting-edge technologies day by day. The US is shivering by the thought of the newly launched Malligyong-1 satellite, which can spy on their imperialist military any time.
The great leaders, President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il ensured the continued development of the Korean revolution, by nourishing it with their love and care at all the time. These peerlessly great statesmen are remembered across the entire world for their dedication to build socialism, all while fighting of the dirty imperialists. They even went out of their way to support progressive movements in the rest of the world and will always be remembered as true internationalists.
When we think about the strength of the DPRK, we must think about the hard work of comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. They knew that only by developing the class consciousness of the Korean people, they could create a bulwark of socialism that is impossible to counter. By developing Juche and Songun politics, they also created the strongest People’s Army in the entire world. The glorious masses of the DPRK are prepared at any time to fight and die for protecting their revolutionary achievements, which are manifold.
Thus, on the special occasion of the Anti-US Joint Struggle Month, we must promise ourselves to strengthen the anti-imperialist movement in our own part of the world. Whatever country we are situated in, comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il taught us to wager revolution on the premises of independence and creativity. It is not enough to remember and celebrate the glorious victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. We must dedicate ourselves to fighting imperialism once and for all, to crush capitalism and liberate the masses everywhere on the globe.
On behalf of the Denmark-DPR Korea Friendship Association, I would like to thank the Arab Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People for its role in organizing this Joint International Forum. Together with the other associations in support of the DPRK, we form a strong international bond which is unbreakable. Let’s continue this brave and noble work, and promise ourselves to strengthen the solidarity movement with the Korean revolution and people!
Let’s honour and remember the glorious legacy of the Fatherland Liberation War!
Long live the Korean People’s Army and their mighty strength!
Long live the astonishing work of President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il !
Sincerely,
Nikolai Aamand
